Cardiovascular Disease Pipeline
Our pipeline products for cardiovascular disease, the most advanced of which is in phase 2 clinical development, have had significant investment to date in bringing them to their current stages of development.
Serious cardiovascular events including angina, myocardial infarction, sudden cardiac death and stroke have been shown to exhibit a pronounced circadian variation, with a marked peak in the morning hours when the patient assumes an upright posture and begins daily activities. Studies have demonstrated that many cardiovascular disorders occur with the greatest frequency between 4 am and 12 noon in the general population. Blood pressure is highest during the day and lowest during sleep with a rapid increase during the 4 am to 12 noon time period.
Circ has developed two cardiovascular products formulated to optimise their effect during waking hours and to minimise side effects, these products that can be administered in the evening with the onset beginning prior to waking the next morning would provide full coverage during waking hours.
